A small WordPress site with big features for an academic veteran

BehaviourBuddy.co.uk is a minimal and highly functional WordPress site for an experienced behavior management instructor in the UK. Robin Launder provides strategies and courses for teachers to maintain behavior in the classroom.

The website includes powerful features while being easy to maintain, and uses a minimum amount of resources thanks to efficient development and optimized code.

We decided to build on the Avada WordPress theme, it’s affordable and reliable. There’s often complaints about some themes taking long to load, we still had no problem getting 0.8 seconds load time for desktop.

The build saves time by enabling Robin to easily manage his business, and we cut costs at every corner by developing our own systems where possible.

With a WordPress newsletter plugin, Mailster, the server sends thousands of automated emails per month with a 30+ series drip campaign.

Email deliverability was important because some emails are sent automatically when a PayPal payment is processed. Users have to certainly get their Zoom invite link and receipt, and we need to know with certainty, whether or not they did. So we set up Mailgun for transactional mail through API. And with the help of “batch sending” - our mailserver sends around 50,000 emails every month with 99.9% deliverability.

With an Elite license to Gravity Forms, we process payments and manage attendees for zoom sessions. Throughout the process, Twillio sends SMS notifications to ensure nothing is missed.

The website is also integrated with Zapier to automate tasks, append to logs, and keep data unified in simple spreadsheets.

Everything was needed to be GDPR compliant since all traffic comes from the UK.
